Medals
Medals are BattleGrid's achievement system. They recognize specific milestones such as reaching profit targets, maintaining prediction accuracy, hitting consecutive games played, or capturing rare coin moves. Medals persist forever once earned and are prominently displayed on your player profile.
At launch, there are 32 medals across 8 families. Most medals track progress directly from your games, automatically unlocking tiers as soon as a game settles.
Medal Rarity Tiers
Every medal belongs to a "family" of 4 tiers. Within a medal family, the requirements escalate progressively from Common up to Legendary:

| Common | Entry-level | Achievable within a player's first few sessions. Standard frame. |
| Rare | Moderate | You're committed. Requires regular play over multiple sessions. |
| Epic | Hard | Serious competitor. Requires significant dedication and skill. |
| Legendary | Extreme | Master level. Very few players will earn these maximum flair medals. |
Medal Categories
The 32 medals are organized into four distinct categories representing different playstyles:
1. Grid Expert
Rewarding accuracy and prediction mastery. These medals recognize players who consistently make accurate predictions and have exceptional market-reading skills. This is BattleGrid's 'skill' category.
- Market Accuracy: Earning an accuracy of 60%, 70%, 80%, or 90% across games.
- Captain Successes: Landing correct Captain Coin picks in Market Grid.
- Coin Move Captures: Correctly predicting an extreme single-coin price move (+/- 10%, 20%, 30%, or an astonishing 40% for the Black Swan Hunter).
2. Real Degen
Rewarding profit, volume, and major payout milestones. These medals reward financial performance and dedication. Put skin in the game, win big, and lock these down. This is the 'high-stakes' category.
- Net Profit: Earning massive total lifetime net profits in the grids ($100 to $100,000+).
- Total Wagered: Massive cumulative volume across your sessions.
- Total Payouts: Collecting massive outright winnings.
3. Grinder
Rewarding persistence and consistency. Reward those who show up, play often, win frequently, and maintain hot streaks.
- Games Played: Show up and climb to 1,000 cumulative games.
- Total Wins: Stack up your lifetime victories!
4. Special
Reserved for limited-edition and event medals. Future campaigns, seasonal rewards, and partner achievements will sit here.
